In Bruges
This movie is simply a great movie. Theres not really anything I can say about it, but that you should definately go out and see it. Colin Farrell was born to play this role, and Brendan Gleeson does a great job playing the role of a older brother figure. The humor in the movie is dark, and is not ment for those with strict morals. I'll admit that the movie is kind of wierd at parts, but overall it is a great movie. I give it a 8/10

Jumper
I was really looking forward to Jumper, the initial idea very much intrigued me, the trailer looked brilliant in my opinion, the fact Doug Liman was directing it excited me, then of course there was the small matter of Samuel L Jackson being in the movie! The fact Hayden Christenson, the man who ruined Star Wars Episode II because of his cheesy acting, was the lead actor did not initially scare me. In fact as I sat down in the cinema today I expect Jumper to be a brilliant, enjoyable, sci-fi romp that would leave me feeling fulfilled and happy. I suppose my expectations were far to high, as when I left Jumper I felt nothing but emptiness. Sure it was moderately entertaining, and Jamie Bell was absolutely brilliant, but for a movie that last 90 minutes so little seemed to happen. I knew as much about the characters at the end as I did at the beginning. Its essentially an extremely dumb movie designed to lure in crowds, this would be fine if the action came thick and fast, unfortunately it doesn't. In fact there are extremely long stretches where the action completely dries up. The movie is also way too short, everything feels just so rushed that you forget what is going on. Thankfully the movie does entertain, it is quite fun to watch and you won't be bored in the film.

Unlike my friend I really wasn't looking forward to the movie. I knew from the ads that it was just going to be a movie to fill up space and earn some money in the box office, while audiences were waiting for the late spring and its upcoming blockbusters. But I wasted my time with the movie anyway. Luckily this movie was just under 90 minutes, or I might have shot myself in the theater. Hayden Christenson is horrible, almost as bad as in the Star Wars prequels. Rachel Bilson has nothing going for her except her looks, and throughout the whole movie, she just wants to get in Hayden's pants between the action. The Samuel L. Jackson is a toned down (because of the rating), not so cool Samuel L. Jackson. And finally Jamie Bell, was ok for the movie he was in. The story sucks and is very unfullfilling, and the only good part of the movie is looking at all of the cool places that they go, but you can watch all that on television. I wouldn't even waste my time looking up movie times for this. Save your money and go rent a good movie, like Gone Baby Gone. I give this movie a 2/10, and only because I liked the fight in the Coliseum.

Vantange Point
Matthew Fox As Kent Taylor
Dennis Quaid As Thomas Barnes
Forest Whitaker As Howard Lewis
Reasons I Saw It:
1. Matthew Fox, A.K.A Jack from LOST; My Favorite Show On Television.
2. The idea of having a traumatic event occur in this case, the president of the United States being shot was a different "vantage point" I had never seen before. So I wanted to see how it would be played out.
3. I sure do enjoy fast moving colorful pictures, it pleases my ADD.
I just got home from seeing vantage point. And I am here to say there was not a dull moment in the entire movie. The entire time I had my eyes glued to the screen, I pissed once but thats beside the point. The way the movie was directed was good but at times the rewind sequences were a little much at times. I mean I just saw what heppened and I GET IT were seeing different perspectives all occuring at the same time. I don't need a 1 minute rewind sequence showing me what I just saw in bits in pieces, backwards. The actors are great, besides Dennis Quait who you could compare to Heratio Cane from CSI Miami in cheesyness. In the end I would give the movie a 6/10 due to its shortness and the movie seemed to be rushing to the end.

Vantage Point is a good action movie, with a great idea, that just isn't that well executed at times. Pretty much it's about eight different points of view of a assassination plot on the president. The movie starts off good, with you being drawn right into the action, but by the end it seems like things are happening just so the movie will end. The acting is iffy. Forest Whitaker is decent and so is Matthew Fox, but Denis Quaid pretty much buries the film in terms of acting. It seems like everything he does is forced and cheesy. All everyone of his lines in the last minutes of the film will have you laughing for hours, and not because they are meant to be funny. The story is probably the best part of the film, until the end. The idea of rewinding time and telling the story from different vantage points is great, and they do a pretty good job of executing it, but by the end of the film it seems like they were just trying to come up with ways to end it. Also there are a lot of little nitpicky mistakes, that if you are one of those people that go to a movie expecting it to be totally realistic, you are going to be having a heartattack. Like when a huge explosion goes off, but everybody is still totally intact. So all in all this movie is good for someone that wants to a okay action movie, with a great idea that is not perfectly executed, but if your expecting something special it's not that movie. I give it a 5.5/10, 10 being the greatest movie ever, 0 being I wanted to gouge my eyes out, and cut my ears off.
